De Republikeinse presidentskandidaten hielden donderdagavond hun laatste debat voor de voorverkiezingen in Iowa. Donald Trump debatteerde niet mee met de kandidaten wegens een geschil met debatleider Megyn Kelly, maar de uitgesproken miljardair kreeg niettemin voldoende aandacht.
Zo was er kritiek op Trumps afwezigheid. Ted Cruz – de belangrijkste concurrent van de vastgoedmagnaat – deed een poging Trump te imiteren. ‘Ik ben een gek en iedereen op dit podium is stom, dik en lelijk,’ aldus Cruz. Jeb Bush zei verschillende keren dat hij Trump ‘erg miste’. ‘Hij was zoals een teddybeer voor mij. We hebben altijd een liefdevolle relatie gehad, in de debatten en in onze tweets.’

Wacht maar eens het hysterische gekrijs, gehuil en gejank in de Nederlandse MSM en op de PO af wanneer Trump president wordt.

Las vandaag in de Telegraaf, waar de propaganda op volle toeren draait, dat het heel slecht zou zijn als wij op het referendum “nee” zouden stemmen want dit zou Putin in de kaart spelen en we zouden onze Oekraïense vrienden verraden en de Amerikanen zouden er heel erg veel verdriet van hebben. Sommige redenaties zijn eigenlijk nauwelijks te volgen.

D.C. Democrat Pens Bill That Would Pay Residents For Not Committing Crimes
The Council of the District of Columbia approved legislation Tuesday that would pay residents in the nation’s capital for not committing crimes.

The legislation, called the “Neighborhood Engagement Achieves Results Amendment Act of 2016 (NEAR Act),” would establish an office to identify as many as 200 residents annually who are at risk of committing violent crimes or becoming a victim of such crimes.
The individuals would be instructed to participate in life planning, trauma informed therapy, and other programs; if they comply and do not commit crimes, the individuals would receive a stipend. The legislation was based on a Richmond, California, program that pays individuals who participate as much as $9,000 annually.

Donald Trump: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
The Good:
Trump has shown that voters like it when Republicans don’t act as though they have to be afraid of telling the truth, in harsh terms, about Democrats. That’s why his stand on immigration gained so much attention

The Bad:
As far as anyone can tell, Trump doesn’t really have a set of core beliefs.
He flips and flops on issues to the extent that it’s possible for comedian Stephen Colbert to make a Trump vs. Trump debate video.

The Ugly:
The ugly aspect of Trump is his willingness to hurt others to achieve his goals.
Lots of “little” people were hurt in his four bankruptcies while he continued to live a lavish lifestyle.
Trump used the full power of government to try to force an elderly woman out of the home she’d lived in for three decades. Trump used his political connections to get the government to compel her to sell her home.

Another ugly aspect of Trump is his willingness to subvert the democratic process to further enrich himself.
In that context, it’s important to remember that Trump is a card-carrying member of the donor class that the Demicans in D.C. serve.
