Uit een poll blijkt dat de Republikeinen de Amerikaanse president Barack Obama als een grotere bedreiging zien dan Vladimir Poetin. De islam vinden ze gevaarlijker dan de klimaatverandering.
De Republikeinen zijn meer bezorgd over het ‘dreigend gevaar’ van de Amerikaanse president Barack Obama (Democraat) voor hun land, dan dat van Russisch presidentVladimir Poetin. Ook Bashar Al-Assad, de Syrische dictator, zien ze als minder bedreigend. Dat blijkt uit een poll van Reuters/Ipsos, waarover Politico bericht.
34% van de ondervraagde Republikeinen zien Obama als een dreigend gevaar voor het land. Daartegenover noemen 25 en 23% Poetin en Assad als bedreigend voor Amerika. Ongeveer evenveel respondenten vond dat de Iraanse Opperste Leider Ayatollah Khamenei even gevaarlijk was als Obama.

Theresa; Als het electoraal in Amerika mogelijk was, zouden die na-ieve Amerikanen hem zelfs een derde termijn gunnen ! Hetzelfde gedonder als hier in Nederland. Door allerlei malversaties blijft links Nederland door de (vele) jaren heen, steeds maar weer aan de macht !

Waar zijn de argumenten? En dat Boehner een gevaar is voor de wereldvrede is zo bespottelijk dat de geënquêteerden alleen maar socialisten kunnen zijn. Boehner is slechts voorzitter van het Huis van Afgevaardigden.

Ik heb nooit begrepen waarom Obama president van de VS is geworden. Had hij zulke bijzondere kwaliteiten dan? Of ‘werd het tijd’ dat er ook eens een zwarte president gekozen zou worden?
Sinds het presidentschap van Obama is er m.b.t. de stabiliteit in het Midden-Oosten wel het een en ander veranderd, waaronder de vriendschap tussen de VS en Israël. Was het ten tijde van Bush relatief ‘rustig’; sinds Obama aan de macht is, lijken de oorlogen daar zich wel in rap tempo op te volgen. Ik krijg het idee dat júist nu er ook zoveel onrust is tussen de moslims onderling!
Ik zal de dag prijzen als Obama opkrast. Hij heeft het land én de internationale gemeenschap absoluut geen goede diensten bewezen, en kan wat mij betreft de boeken in als de allerslechtste president die Amerika ooit heeft gehad! In verschillende landen in het Midden-Oosten is de situatie veranderd van redelijk stabiel naar instabiel, en dat heeft veel te maken met het verdrijven van de heersers daar. Nu is Jemen weer de klos, en wat komt er nog meer?
De hele wereld lijkt wel in brand te staan, en overal meent Amerika zich mee te moeten bemoeien. Ik heb jarenlang gedacht dat Amerika opkwam voor de veiligheid van zijn bondgenoten, maar ik ben er inmiddels wel achter dat er meer eigenbelang speelt dan het belang van anderen. Zie ook de situatie in Oekraïne. Onbegrijpelijk dat de VS zich daar nu ook mee moeten bemoeien.
Tijd voor verandering! Ik hoop dat veel Amerikanen dit ook zo voelen.

“This makes me ANGRY! This officer should not have to resign,” wrote Karen Fitzgibbons, formerly a fourth-grade teacher at Bennett Elementary School in McKinney, on her Facebook page on Tuesday, according to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. The page has since been deleted.
“I guess that’s what happens when you flunk out of school and have no education. I’m sure their parents are just as guilty for not knowing what their kids were doing; or knew it and didn’t care,” she continued. “I’m almost to the point of wanting them all segregated on one side of town so they can hurt each other and leave the innocent people alone.”

North Charleston Police Officer Fired For Facebook Post With Confederate Flag Photo
A North Charleston police officer who posted a photo of himself wearing Confederate Flag boxer shorts to Facebook has been fired.
The photo spread across the Internet on Thursday after the post had been online for a few days.
Police Chief Eddie Driggers issues a termination letter to the officer, Sgt. Shannon Dildine, saying the photo undermines the officer’s “ability to improve trust and instill confidence when working with our citizens.”
“Your posting in this manner led to you being publicly identified as a North Charleston Police officer and associated both you and the Department with an image that symbolizes hate and oppression to a significant portion of the citizens we are sworn to serve,” Driggers wrote.
Dildine has ten days to appeal the decision.

Apple Removes Civil War Games From App Store Because of the Confederate Flag…
Apple has removed a whole swathe of historical war games from the App Store because they feature the Confederate flag.
The games, which include Ultimate General: Gettysburg, Civil War: 1862, and Civil War the Battle Game, were removed by the firm “because they feature images of the Confederate flag in offensive and mean-spirited ways”, according to industry site TouchArcade.
Apple cited its app store review guidelines in a letter to affected developers, stating: “Apps containing references or commentary about a religious, cultural or ethnic group that are defamatory, offensive, mean-spirited or likely to expose the targeted group to harm or violence will be rejected.”
